Christians Slandering the Name of God January 26, 2008

I am so done with the so called Christians in this world that insist on taking scripture out of text and using it to spread their evil ignorant views of God. 

By now everyone knows about Heath Ledger.  Talking to my brother last night he informed me that a “Bible Hugger” came into his place of work and announced to everyone that she was happy that Heath is dead and that he is rotting in hell for his portrayal of a homosexual man.  He is being punished for not doing God’s work and spreading God’s word of His hatred of gays. 

My stomache churned, my face grew hot, tears stung my eyes, my whole body began to shake.  I am so pissed off about this.  I tried to explain to my brother that no real Christian would EVER say they were happy someone had died and was burning in hell.  Any REAL Christian would be mourning at the loss of a soul who may not have known Jesus as their saviour.  It should break their heart wondering where that persons soul is for eternity. 

Then on the news tonight they report of a church that is going to protest a local fallen soldier’s funeral.  Saying all of Americas soldiers that have died are being punished for Americas acceptance of homosexuality. 

I am so done.  I can’t even put into words how angry I am.  I am physically sick. I can’t stop crying.  I don’t even want to pray for forgiveness for these people.  I am just done.

I am a born again Christian, and I am going to find a way to shout as loud as I can that these people are NOT Christian. 

Do not be deceived, God is not mocked, that which a man sows he shall also reap.  These people will be held accountable for their words.

I am so done.   This is NOT Christianity.  Jesus would be there to say, “let him who has no sin cast the first stone.”  He would put these people in their place.

The Pirates Who Don’t Do Anything, Really Didn’t Do Anything! January 20, 2008

In the theaters in Reno that is. I was waiting and waiting for this movie to come out.  I was so excited to have a movie to take my nephew to and the kids I nanny for.  But because I was so sick the first week, and the kids activities were not coinciding with times, I never got to take them. 

Of course it didn’t help that the movie only stayed in the theaters for ONE week! It also only came to two of the Century theaters! 

What was Cinemark thinking?  Let’s put the movie in downtown theater so that all the parents can drop their kids off and go gambling?  They should have put it at Sparks and Summit. 

What happened?  It did so much less in the first weekend then Jonah did? 

I am seriously dissapointed. 

Did the crowd not show up because they aren’t using verses in the cartoons on tv?  I just don’t get it.

Recession? January 17, 2008

I hate doing this, but I need to know.  I have an opportunity to upgrade my car.  My current car has over 100,000 miles.  We have done a lot of expensive work on the car to get it running good.  It is a two door soft top.  It is paid off. 

I would like a four door vehicle with low miles, and a warranty.  I transport kids all over the place and although I make due with a two door, a four door would be much nicer. 

I was all excited to start my search when the news came on and talked about Nevada’s destiny to go through a recession.  A person says they want to work as many hours as they can and not spend a dime.  Others say pay off as much as they can until it happens. 

So is it a bad idea to buy a new car right now?  What exactly is a recession in laymens terms, and how does it affect the average middle class worker?

Please share any info you can without calling me stupid for not knowing already.  Thanks bunches

need a good home January 15, 2008

My parents got my nephew a cocker spaniel. However, Harley lives with my parents and my nephew does not. She is two years old.  She is black and tan.  She is up to date on all her shots and she is not spayed yet.  She is full of energy and a sweet pup.  She needs training to not bark when someone comes to the door.  She sits very still and quietly while you are eating food at the table.  She knows sit, and stay.   My parents are too old for a dog with this much energy.  She likes to go on walks, and is good on walks.  I know because I take her when I can.  She loves to play fetch.  She does like to hide her toys, so we don’t let her take them outside anymore.  She is good with other dogs, and good with children. She is also good when left in the house alone.  She does not like to be locked in a room, we give her free range of the house. She has never caused any damage while my parents are out.  And she has been as long as six hours alone. 

My parents asked me to help them find a home for her because they don’t have enough energy for a dog.  Something I was telling them all along.  I am at a loss.  I would take her, but I have a cat who does not like dogs, and I am not home all day.  I would likely come home to a chewed up cat or a scratched up dog.  She loves to sit in a lap, or curl up next to you.  She sleeps through the night and loves to cuddle at the foot of your bed.  She seems to get attatched to the men in the family right away.  I will get a pic of her asap, and post it on here, but for now I want to get the info out there.  If any of you are interested in a new pal, or know someone who might be, please let me know.

After Thursday she will be with the SPCA.  They will Spay her and micro chip her.  And they will find her a good home.  Thankfully they are taking her, because if a stranger took her I would be afraid of her becoming  a puppy machine.  I am sad to see her go.  Especially after spending time with her again today.  She is very teachable.  Very lovable.  I will miss her.

Foster to Adopt January 6, 2008

I conacted Social Services to find out the first step into becoming a foster parent with hopes to adopt.  I will keep you posted as I continue to look through this process.  Pray for God’s wisdom for me.  Even though I have all this experience, I am a bit nervous in taking the first step.

Sharp Dressed Man January 1, 2008

My 3 year, 3 month old, nephew and my brother were in a wedding a few weeks ago.  They wore white tuxes, and I wanted a pic of the two of them.  I told my nephew to stand by his daddy and let me take a pic.  He said,”Wait Auntie Jody!”  Then he leaned on the church pew and crossed his leg over his other leg, ” OK Auntie Jody, I’m ready.”
